Good: The HHK is wonderful and the staff are lovely but watch out for the annexe. Nice bathroom though.
Bad: Room opens onto main road and corrugated iron! View over car park. No net curtains so you have to sit in darkness with blinds closed. Very noisy.

Good: The best was the view, the location, and the breakfast.
The view speaks for itself, the location very close to public transport and within walking distance to Sleymaniye mosque and Egyptian bazaar, in Eminnu area, plenty of fish restaurants to choose from and lots of shopping places at very good prices.
The breakfast, wide variety of food, all delicious and Ibrahim especially kind to everybody. Turkish hospitality at very high levels. (ok teekkr ederim, Ibrahim!)
Bad: We were hosted in the Annex building, which actually has a better location compared to the main building (3 min walk up on a steep hill). However, compared to the pictures on Booking, don't expect the same thing. It was all clean and beds very comfortable, but the bathroom was very badly organized. The sink was super small, shoebox size, and it was impossible not to get wet every time we used it. The hanger was broken so impossible to hang your clothes and towels when showering, so you really have to put everything on the toilet which is right next to the shower, so very easy to get everything wet. However, there was good water pressure and very warm.

Bad: Such a big hill .... you need good knees if you are walking . If you use taxis it's OK from the hotel but getting back from the hotel they try to rip you off , so beware...
The hotel was great full of charm ... the views amazing .
Don't do the evening dinner cruise over prices and the waiter's want tips and they are not afraid to ask for it and if they don't get it .... then they don't bring you any more drinks .
